The Tabard Pub
Cat: Pubs & RestaurantsABOUT The Tabard Pub
A beautiful Arts & Crafts pub designed in 1880 by Richard Norman Shaw, as part of Jonathan Carr's development of Bedford Park. The Tabard was a pioneering 'improved' pub and represented a rejection of the Gin Palace in favour of a more traditionally inspired and respectable inn.
The Tabard Pub now sits at the heart of the Bedford Park and Turnham Green communities, offering a good selection of real ales and other local brews. See Tabard Theatre (under Arts&Entertainment) for more details.
