The houses of Bedford Park were designed by a small number of architects, closely managed by the developer Jonathan Carr. They are often described as having been built in Queen Anne Revival style which became popular in the 1860s, a style which picked eclectically from what the Victorians percieved as the best of 17th and 18th century English and Flemish domestic design.
